The sponge stick consists of a pre-moistened, antimicrobial-free spongeand a detachable plastic handle, all packaged in a sterile bag. Samplecollection can be done without touching the sponge, and the handlecan be quickly detached to prevent contamination. The product can becustomized with a diluent, ideal for contactless sampling.
NB (Neutralizing Buffer) is used for sampling the surface of samples treated with disinfectants and does not have a bacterial growth effect.
Benefits:
Long handle reduces contamination risk.
For surface sampling and hard to reach areas.
Detachable handle ensures hygiene, preventing direct contact.
Optimized method enhances sampling efficiency.
ldeal for large-area sampling.
Simplified packaging cuts down on waste.
Sponge maintains cell viability.
Product No: CT-NB2510S
Storage & Shelf Life: 2-25°C, valid for 12 months.
Detection method:
1) Wear disposable gloves during the experiment to avoid exogenous contamination.
2) Take out the packaging bag, tear open the aluminum foil bag (outer packaging), take out and mark the sampling bag.
3) Tear open the sampling bag (the side with the sealing wire), take out the sponge stick, and do not touch the part other than the sponge stick or the inner wall of the sampling bag during the removal process.
4) The sampling area is 30×30cm. The sponge is at an angle of 30-45° to the surface to be tested, and the smear is Z-shaped. For irregular surfaces, when the surface area of 30×30cm cannot be obtained, sufficient area should be smeared as much as possible, and a continuous and consistent method should be used for each test.
5) Put the sponge stick into the sampling bag (the part that contacts the handle cannot be put in), and gently break the handle.
6) Add the corresponding bacterial enrichment culture medium to the sampling bag, align the wire and curl it several times, bend the wire along the bag mouth, and conduct subsequent culture identification.
