Ion exchange is the most commonly used method for the separation and purification of biological macromolecules, based on the differences in the surface charges (type, number and distribution) of molecules to achieve the separation of different substances. The ion exchange chromatography media provided by Northwest Biolog are based on the polymer PS-DVB (polystyrene-divinylbenzene copolymer), which has been modified by surface hydrophilicity and then bonded with ion exchange groups, resulting in low non-specific adsorption, high mechanical strength, and good biocompatibility and physical and chemical stability of biologically active macromolecules, which greatly improves the purification efficiency. This series of ion exchange chromatography media is suitable for the purification of antibodies, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids and small molecules.
Functional group: -CH2N+(CH3)3
Chemical stability: All common buffers, 1M acetic acid, 1M sodium chloride oxide, 1M hydrochloric acid, 70% ethanol, 30% isopropanol, 30% acetonitrile, 1% SDS, 6M guanidine hydrochloride, 8M urea and other common organic solvents; avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents.
Application Scenarios: Purification of insulin, small nucleic acids, peptides, etc.
